Ways to contribute to Friends of Eastgate
In these times with the economy in bad shape, the ones that gets hurt the most are the children, who are relying on aid for food, clothes, shelter and education. We are aware people are not in a position to give a lot, but we want you to know that we appreciate every effort you can make to brighten a childs life. We have several ways for you to get involved.
Participate in Events
You can also support Friends of Eastgate by participating in the our fundraising events. We will be having several live events during the year as well as online fundraisers together with our online poker partner, Pokerstars. When you participate in our live and online fundraising events we will receive a percentage of the fee you will be charged for participating. These events will have added prizes from the sponsors, so the value of the entry fee will likely be higher than otherwise.
Join I.C.A.R.E program
Friend of Eastgate will recruit poker players to participate in our I.C.A.R.E. program. I.C.A.R.E. stands for International Children's Aid Require Participation. Players who sign up agree to donate 1% of their tournament winnings. We will send a heartshaped patch, to everyone who sign up, with "ICARE" and "1%" that players can wear on their clothes when participating in a poker tournament.

New Member to I.C.A.R.E. Player List
Dortmund.March 9, 2009 We are proud to announce that former WPT Five Diamonds Classic Champion Rehne 'Carlos' Pedersen has agreed to donate 2% of his winnings at Pokerstars EPT Dortmund tournament to Friends of Eastgate. That means we have 3 players that will donate part of their winnings present in Dortmund: Rehne, Jannick Wrang and Peter Eastgate. Good luck to all 3
