WHO ARE WE?
CEO: Peter Eastgate
Peter is the founder of Friends of Eastgate. He is the 2008 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion, and wanted to create a way he and other poker players and celebrities can give back to the community. Peter is the youngest player ever to win the WSOP Main Event, which he won at the age of 22. Being the youngest champion is one of the reasons Peter has chosen children as the beneficiaries of his foundation, as well as the fact that children does not chose the place they are born and the circumstances they are brought into the world under.
COO & President : Claus K Nielsen
Claus is a former Professional Poker Player, Attorney and Internet Poker CEO. He has recently relocated to Las Vegas, where he, as business manager, represents some of the top poker players in the world. He was asked by Peter to help organize and run his foundation and immediately said yes. ‘Being part of something special is what everyone wants. As a fellow Dane, I was honored when Peter thought of me to run his foundation, which I know is very important to him. I am looking forward to helping children all over the world and hopefully I can get the poker community to back up around this organization.'
CFO & Vice President: Casper Eastgate
Casper is the older brother of Peter. He is also the co-founder of Friends of Eastgate and will, alongside his engineering studies, be involved as the vice president and European head of operations. Casper will be developing special projects for the foundation and work with European Coordinator Simon Langeland to create some fantastic events all over Europe.
CTO: Kim Frederiksen, Addvisors, Inc
Kim Frederiksen is a successful Entrepreneur, Businessman and Poker Player. He is the President and CEO of Addvisors, Inc. in Las Vegas, the online marketing partner of Friends of Eastgate. Kim will be in charge of the web site and other technology and internet related matters. We are proud to have Kim and his company on board and we are thankful for the time and effort Kim and his company has donated free of charge to Friends of Eastgate.

European Cordinator: Simon Langeland
Getting Simon Langeland to agree to the job of European Coordinator was a steal for Friends of Eastgate. The very intelligent and likeable ‘kid' from Denmark is the perfect person to organize Friends of Eastgate's European Events. He is currently back at the university finishing up his law degree, while working part time for one of our corporate sponsors Pokerstars. Simon has in the past been poker manager for an internet gaming company and a reporter for Ace Magazine.

Mission Statement
Friends of Eastgate is a non-profit organization. Every dollar we collect from individuals will go to a charitable organization that supports helping children in need. In other words, 100% of your individual donations will be sent to organizations helping children all over the world. The cost of operating Friend of Eastgate will be covered by corporate sponsors and by Peter Eastgate himself. We have been doing research about where our money would make the biggest difference, but we will accept our readers suggestions about worthy children's organization and include them in our review process.
Friends of Eastgate will arrange several events all over the world in order to raise money for the children. Some of these will be charity poker tournament, charity golf tournaments and other events where generous people will have a chance to meet and play with celebrities and some of the best professional poker players in the world. In addition to the events, we will work with one of our sponsors, Pokerstars, to have online events that will raise money for the children. This way people that cannot make the live events will have a chance to help us help the children.
Our hope is to raise a significant amount of funds, so that we can really make a difference in thousands of children's lives all over the world. We are here to stay and we are willing to do whatever it takes to make a difference. We understand that the economic crisis has hit everyone, but the ones it has hit the hardest are the children all over the world who are relying on generous people like you for survival.

Dortmund.March 9, 2009 We are proud to announce that former WPT Five Diamonds Classic Champion Rehne 'Carlos' Pedersen has agreed to donate 2% of his winnings at Pokerstars EPT Dortmund tournament to Friends of Eastgate.
